This Sunday you’re invited to join us as we celebrate the 40th Birthday of Citywide Baptist Church’s Mornington Congregation.
We started when the Tasman Bridge collapsed in 1975 out of necessity and formally became Eastern Shore Baptist Church in December 1977.
It’s been an amazing ride from those early days at Rosny College to today. There have been some huge shifts for us including purchasing the old Mornington Bowling Alley (which is still where we are today) which we dubbed “CityGate” and also combining with Lenah Valley Baptist church to become Citywide a decade ago.
This Sunday we look back at this time and reflect on how God has been working but also to look at the hope that lies before us as a church. This is the first of three big anniversaries we have over the next 12 months and we sense that these celebrations are an important part of our preparation for the future.
We’d be delighted if you would join with us to celebrate together and please stick around for some morning tea after the service.
When: Sunday 3rd December, 10am
Where: Citywide Mornington, 400 Cambridge Road, Mornington
We will also be simulcasting the service to our Lenah Valley campus, who will be celebrating their 70th Anniversary next year. You are welcome to join us there too…
