Help for Nepal

Fusion Nepal: On the 27^th August, the day after the flooding, Ruth and her husband Jagadish of Katmandu visited the Trishuli, Bidur Bazar, and the Bidur Municipality (Battar) area. Ruth and Jagadish have been long-term mission partners of Citywide, well trusted by Dan Evenhuis, Matt Garvin and the Hobart Nepali Church. They do incredible work with those in need in Nepal. They are staying for several weeks to support the communities and hand out aid.

Deepak Adikari: In response to the recent flooding and the difficulties faced by affected families, I am preparing relief supplies to people who are in urgent need of support. The assistance will focus on essential items that can help families meet their immediate needs and regain some sense of comfort and dignity during this difficult time.
The planned relief package will include blankets, simple mattresses, pillows, and sanitary pads for women. It will cost around $50au for each relief pack.
Deepak said, “I would be grateful for any support toward this relief effort. Every contribution, regardless of the amount, can help us reach people who are facing significant hardship because of the floods. My desire is simply to stand alongside these families, meet some of their basic needs, and show them practical care and compassion during this challenging season.”
